Meaning of STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT in English

(Statistics) Describes the difference between two groups or two samples from the same population, one of which serves as the unaffected control group and the other having been subject to manipulation (cause and effect) by some external factor. Statistical Tests of Significance can be applied to determine if the observed resultant differences are due to the cause-and-effect hypothesis or to random sampling variability.
