(1942–) a well-known US film ↑ critic , who in 1975 won a Pulitzer Prize for film ↑ commentary , the first and only time this particular prize has been given. He and another critic, Richard Roeper, presented a show called Ebert and Roeper on US television in which they ↑ review ed new films. He is famous for saying that ‘No good movie is too long and no bad movie is short enough.’ He has not appeared on a television show since 2006 after an illness left him unable to speak.
