the most important politicians in the ↑ opposition party in the British Parliament. Each member of the Shadow Cabinet is responsible for his/her party's policy in one of the main areas of government, and is called, for example, the Shadow Minister of Defence or the Shadow Chancellor. But the Shadow Cabinet has no actual power.
