ZOOMOUT-MOMENT

When you are suddenly exposed to the full complexity or size of something you thought you knew a lot about, but obviously didn't--thus making you feel like an idiot. Example: I thought I understood the storyline of the TV show, but then Colin exposed me to all the different episode strings, and I had a zoomout-moment at that point.
