EXHAUST VALVE

The valve through which the burned fuel charge passes on its way from the cylinder to the exhaust manifold . It is driven by the camshaft . When comparing an exhaust valve with an intake valve in the same engine, the part of the exhaust valve that seats into the head (i.e., not the stem) will have a smaller diameter than the intake valve .
