FITZROY RIVER


Meaning of FITZROY RIVER in English

River, eastern Queensland , Australia.

Formed by the confluence of the Dawson and Mackenzie rivers, on the slopes of the Eastern Highlands, it flows northeast across the Broadsound Range and then southeast to enter the Coral Sea after a course of 180 mi (290 km). It is navigable 35 mi (56 km) from its mouth.
