city, eastern residential suburb of Cleveland, Cuyahoga county, northeastern Ohio, U.S. Incorporated as a village in 1903, Cleveland Heights remained a wooded area until it became a city in 1921. It is zoned only for homes and retail businesses and has no industry. The city's Cain Park has an outdoor summer theatre in a natural amphitheatre setting. Pop. (1990) 54,052; (1994 est.) 51,477.
