Meaning of EYE DISEASE in English

any of the diseases or disorders that affect the human eye and vision. This article briefly describes the more common diseases of the eye and its associated structures, and the methods used in examination and diagnosis; it also indicates the treatment and prognosis. The first part deals with conditions affecting the orbit, lids, and external eye, and the second with diseases of structures within the globe. Later sections deal with injuries, ocular conditions associated with general disease, disorders of vision, methods of examining the eye, and devices for correcting visual defects.
