French Parc National de la Komo, Komo also spelled Como national park, northeastern Cte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). It was established as a national park in 1968 by extending and converting the former Bouna-Komo game reserve. Comprising approximately 4,440 square miles (11,500 square km) of wooded savanna, Komo contains the country's largest concentration of wildlife, including antelopes, hippopotamuses, lions, monkeys, and other animals. The Lobi people inhabit sections of Komo, engaging in millet and sorghum farming and some hunting. In 1983 it was designated a World Heritage site.
