In Napolon inconnu (1895; The Unknown Napoleon), Masson, with Guido Biagi, brought out the unpublished writings (178693) of Napoleon before he became emperor: notes; extracts from historical, philosophical, and literary books; and personal reflections. His other works include several books on Josephine; Napolon et sa famille, 13 vol. (18971919; Napoleon and His Family); Napolon et son fils (1904; Napoleon and His Son); and Napoleon Sainte-Hlne, 18151821 (1912).
