a British television presenter and programme maker who has made many programmes about nature, including the series Life on Earth . He is well known for getting very close to the animals he films, and describing them in a voice that is very quiet but very enthusiastic. He was made a knight in 1985. Richard Attenborough is his brother.
II . Richard Attenborough
(1923– )
an English film actor, producer and director. He has acted in many famous British films, including Brighton Rock (1947). His most successful film as director and producer was Gandhi (1982), which won eight Oscars . He was made a knight in 1976 and a life peer in 1993. David Attenborough is his brother.
