a group of architects and designers who had been students at the Glasgow School of Art in the late 19th century. Their Art Nouveau style had a strong influence on European architecture and design. The best-known members of the Glasgow School were Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald, who was his wife.
