a large Elizabethan house in Wiltshire , England, owned by the Marquess of Bath. It was built in the late 16th century. It is now open to the public and has a safari park (= a park where people can drive round and see wild animals, e.g. lions) and gardens designed by ‘Capability’ Brown .
