MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK

a US national park in south-west Colorado . It was established in 1906 and covers 52 122 acres (21 109 hectares). Tourists come to see the cliff houses of the Pueblo Native Americans which are more than 1 000 years old. The park includes mountains and deep valleys. It also has a museum. It was made a World Heritage Site in 1978.
