In MS Windows executable file terms , the section table contains information about each section in the image, like a value holding the RVA to the section's data when it is loaded in memory, size of the secion's data, offset from the beginning of file and section's characteristic (flags describing how the section's memory should be treated).
Section table lies between the PE header and the raw data for the image's sections.
