A system that assigns each tactical reconnaissance request the appropriate priority as follows. Priority I Takes precedence over all other requests except those previously assigned priority I. The results of these requests are of paramount importance to the immediate battle situation or objective. Priority II The results of these requirements are in support of the general battle situation and will be accomplished as soon as possible after priority I requests. These are requests to gain current battle information. Priority III The results of these requests update the intelligence database but do not affect the immediate battle situation. Priority IV The results of these requests are of a routine nature. These results will be fulfilled when the reconnaissance effort permits. See also precedence.
