[Folklore] To kiss the Blarney Stone. In the wall of Blarney Castle (near Cork) about twenty feet from the top and difficult of access is triangular stone inscribed, 'Cormac Macarthy fortis me fiery fecit, CE 1446'. According to tradition, whoever kisses that stone is endowed with wonderful powers of cajolery. Since the stone is almost impossible to reach, a substitute has been provided, which is said to be as effective s the original.
