DIRECT FILTRATION

A filtration method of treating water which consists of the addition of coagulant chemicals, flash mixing, coagulation, minimal flocculation, and filtration. The flocculation facilities may be omitted, but the physicalchemical reactions will occur to some extent. The sedimentation process is omitted. Also see conventional filtration and in-line filtration.
