UCAYALI RIVER


Meaning of UCAYALI RIVER in English

River, central and northern Peru.

The chief headstream of the Amazon River , it is formed by the junction of the Apurímac and Urubamba rivers. It then meanders north to unite with the Marañón River and form the Amazon. It is navigable for about two-thirds of its 1,000-mi (1,610-km) length.
