Meaning of BOSNA RIVER in English

also spelled Vosna, river of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rising from a spring at the foot of Mount Igman and following a 168-mile (271-kilometre) course northward to enter the Sava River. Its tributaries are the Zeljeznica, Miljacka, Fojnica, Lava, Gostovic, Krivaja, Usora, and Spreca rivers, all noted for freshwater fishing. The major cities along the river are Sarajevo, Zenica, and Doboj. A trunk rail line follows the Bosna from Sarajevo, and after World War II industryespecially metallurgical industryexpanded along the river valley.
