KILBY, JACK

born November 8, 1923, Jefferson City, Missouri in full Jack St. Clair Kilby American engineer and one of the inventors of the integrated circuit, a system of interconnected transistors on a single microchip. In 2000 Kilby was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics. Michael Aaron Dennis Additional reading T. R.
