TULU LANGUAGE

also spelled Tulu, language of the Dravidian family, spoken in southern Karnataka (formerly Mysore) state, India. Tulu has borrowed many words from the Kannada language (q.v.), the official language of Karnataka, but they are not closely related. Tulu has no written tradition or literature.
