SCHINDLER’S LIST

a US film (1993), directed by Stephen Spielberg , which won seven Oscars , including Best Picture and Best Director. It was based on the novel Schindler’s Ark (1982) by the Australian writer Thomas Keneally, which won the Booker Prize . The story is about a real person, Oskar Schindler, a German who risked his own life during World War II to save Polish Jews sent to work in his factory.
