an English football club whose home ground is Upton Park in the West Ham area of east London. Its most successful period was in the 1960s when players such as Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst played for it. It was established in 1900 and its informal name is the Hammers. It has won the FA Cup three times. It has not had any major success in recent years.
