Meaning of PERMITTED WATER RIGHT (NEVADA) in English

The right to put surface or groundwater to beneficial use that is identified by a document issued by the Nevada State Engineer prior to the filing of satisfactory proof of "perfection of application" in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 533. If proof of beneficial use is accepted by the State Engineer, then the water right permit can be converted into a Certificated Water Right. If proof of beneficial use in not made to or accepted by the State Engineer, then the right to claim title to the water may cease. Also see Application, Water Right.
