Analogous to dog-years, referring to a time-unit in a very brief professional lifetime. Can be extended to actress-years, starlet-years, sportsman-years, scientist-years, and so on. Example: Lancome dropped Isabella Rossellini because she was in her forties, which is about a 1000 in model-years.
