Meaning of CROP CIRCLE in English

an area in a field where parts of the crop have been made flat. The area is round or in other shapes and patterns. Crop circles began to appear in Britain in the 1980s. Some people think that they are made by beings from other planets or by unusual winds, while others think that they are made by local people as a joke.
