a card game, often played by children, in which players lay down cards at the same time, and shout ‘Snap!’ when two similar cards are laid down. The player who calls first wins the cards already laid down. The winner of the game is the player who wins all the cards in this way. People sometimes say ‘Snap!’ when they notice that two things are similar:

Snap! You’ve got the same shoes as me!
