Meaning of SCIENCE ADVISORY BOARD (SAB) in English

An independent body established by the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1974 and by Congress in 1977. Its purpose is to review the scientific merits of EPA research and the scientific basis for the agency's proposed regulations and standards.
