EXTERNAL FIREWALL

A firewall between a company and the outside world (Internet). Certain data (for example, mail and news) can flow unimpeded, but interactive sessions or scripts cannot affect data in either inbound or outbound directions. See also firewall , internet , Unix to Unix Copy (UUCP) .
