Meaning of ADDRESS INDICATING GROUP (AIG) in English

A station or address designator, used to represent a set of specific and frequently recurring combinations of action or information addresses. Note: The identity of the message originator may also be included in the AIG. An address group is assigned to each AIG for use as an address designator.
