Japanese H 014D; ry 016B; -ji
Buddhist complex near Nara, Japan, comprising the oldest known wood buildings in the world.
The temple was founded by Prince Sh 014D; toku in 607 during the Asuka period, destroyed by fire in 670, and reconstructed 0441; 680708. It retains the ch 016B; -mon (middle gate) of the roofed cloister enclosing the rectangular temple precinct, a five-storied pagoda , and a kond 014D; (main hall).
