SOUTH PASADENA

city, Los Angeles county, Calif., U.S., about 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Pasadena and 10 miles (16 km) northeast of the centre of the city of Los Angeles via the Pasadena Freeway. It is principally a residential community, but it has some light manufacturing, chiefly in electronics. The city was incorporated in 1888. Pop. (1991 est.) 24,434.
