INITIAL RECEPTION POINT

Meaning of INITIAL RECEPTION POINT in English

In personnel recovery, a secure area or facility under friendly control where initial reception of recovered isolated personnel can safely take place. This point is ideally associated with a medical treatment facility, can safeguard recovered isolated personnel for up to 48 hours, and is where the reintegration process begins. (JP 3-50)
