Meaning of ELEVATION HEAD in English

The potential energy in a hydraulic system, represented by the vertical distance between the hydraulic system (pipe, channel, etc.) and a reference level, and expressed in length units. The sum of the elevation head and the Pressure Head is equal to the Hydraulic Head. Also referred to as the Total Head.
