Meaning of MARGINAL YIELD in English

The increase in yield obtained by an increase in fishing effort (or fishing mortality) by one unit. In mathematical terms, it is given by the slope of the tangent to the relationship between Effort and Yield (or between Fishing mortality and Yield-per-recruit). Gulland and Boerema (1973)
