A path established through the Frame Relay network from one site to another. Frame Relay requires a separate PVC for each direction of data flow, and, unlike a dial-up service such as ISDN, must be set in advance of desired use. The speed that data can be transferred across a PVC is dependent on the CIR and the port speed.
