MARBLE ARCH


Meaning of MARBLE ARCH in English

a large stone arch with three gates, at the north-east corner of Hyde Park (1) in central London. It was built in 1828 to a design by John Nash as an entrance to Buckingham Palace , but was later moved to its present position. Marble Arch is also the name of a nearby London Underground station.
