any of a number of awards given to British companies who have achieved success in any of three areas: exports, technology or the environment. The Queen’s Award for Export Achievement and the Queen’s Award for Technological Achievement have been made every year since 1966, and the Queen’s Award for Environmental Achievement has been made every year since 1993. Over 100 awards are given each year. A company that wins an award is allowed to use a special symbol for five years.
