BLEATING HEART

(noun phrase) An intensely visceral yearning or hankering for. The expression is a portmanteau derived from bleeding heart (of bleeding heart dove) and bleating (pleading sound of an ewe). Works especially well in conjunction with I love ewe. (Bleating may also be used on its own in verbal form.) Example: (noun form) Don't toy with my bleating heart.
