COEFFICIENT TERM

(Statistics) The weight applied to one of the Independent (or Exogenous) Variables in the best prediction of the Dependent (or Endogenous) Variable. It is interpreted as the slope of the relation between the independent variable and the dependent variable, or the change in the dependent variable for a unit change in the independent variable.
