SPRAY CHAMBER

A device that removes certain organic compounds from an airstream by condensation. A cooling material, usually water, is sprayed into a chamber, and the condensed organics exit with the water. In addition to the removal of the condensable contaminants, the condensation greatly reduces the volume of the waste exhaust. Also referred to as a Contact Condenser.
