CRYPTKEEPER'S CALL

In books or movies, any despicable comment made by a character to make the readers dislike them, and to make it okay for the writer to have whatever nasty in the story to bump them off. Happens in _Tales From the Crypt _ all the time. Example: The ignorant sheriff made his cryptkeeper's call, a comment about how the homeless should all be put in jail--and was immediately eaten by zombies.
