a US organization for book reviewers. It has about 700 members and was established in 1974. In the same year it started presenting the National Book Critics Circle Awards . These are chosen by a group of book reviewers and authors, and given to writers of Fiction, Non-fiction, Biography or Autobiography, Poetry and Criticism.
