NEW LEFT


Meaning of NEW LEFT in English

a group of people who developed left-wing political ideas in many countries, especially the US, in the 1960s. They protested against the conditions of poor people in society, and against the Vietnam War , but they did not support the Soviet Union. The New Left included many students and writers.
