The volume of a gas is directly proportional to its temperature in kelvins, if pressure and amount of gas remain constant. Doubling the kelvin temperature of a gas at constant pressure will double its volume. If V 1 and T 1 are the initial volume and temperature, the final volume and temperature ratio V 2 /T 2 = V 1 /T 1 if pressure and moles of gas are unchanged.
